Remember previously we loaned out free disposable cameras and we mentioned about the exhibition? We’ve got more information for you!

During the Arts Festival, apart from the list of interesting programmes lined up, we’ll be having an exhibition for the selected shots and funds raised will be donated to the Children’s Cancer Foundation. Drop by, we’ll be explaining to you how the bidding (donation) system works. If you’re not interested to place a bid for any of the shots there, you’re free to donate any amount by putting the money into our donation box, which will be on our booth at the atrium!

Canon Photo Marathon ‘08

Canon Photo Marathon ‘08

Canon Photo Marathon is an annual photo competition organized by Canon. It was held on 18th October 2008 @ Suntec City. In this competition, we were given 3 themes, CHANGE, DREAM and FREEDOM. Each theme should be submited within 3 hours.

Herbert, Stefen, SK, Jasper and Sutrisno are SIM Photography Club Representative on this competition.

Proudly, Our President, Herbert Johan wins 1st Prize for the 3rd theme, FREEDOM.

These 2 photos were taken during our Chinatown Outing on 5th October 2008.

We took abstract and street photos.

Then, this outing followed with a sharing session on 11th October 2008.

In this session, we shared photos that we had taken during outing.

Recruitment Opens

As of now, recruitment is officially open. I am pleased to inform you that we will be specially opening recruitment booths for 4 days next week, tentatively to be from the 25th – 28th of August to carter to those who are unable to attend our previous orientation. Please do check us out there as to date, we are not receiving any emails recruitment yet due to previous complications regarding this matter and our EXCO teams are still negotiating an easier alternative for recruitment other than the current face-to-face meetings. As we are starting over, I do hope you can understand our current policy.

SIM Photography Club Orientation

on the 16th August 2008

SIM Photography Club Orientation was held.

We introduced our EXCO members, briefly talked about what we did in the past and a presentation of what we are planning to do for the upcoming year ahead.

We’ve decided to change the name of our upcoming event from Annual General Meeting to SIM Photography Club Orientation as upon discussions and reviews, we’ve noticed that the event to follow on the day will not be a very meeting type but more of a recruitment session.
